We at Jersey Property Group thought we'd put this little video together to address some questions that the team has been getting recently. First question that we've been getting a lot actually now that we're going into the new year is if we foresee a housing market crash like there was in 2008.

The short answer is no and here's why!

First a higher appreciation in homes has created a much higher demand for buyers. During the pandemic we learned our homes are our sancutary. We have to love where we live and we have to appreciate it. This is truly unique to the past two years.

The second situation is that lenders are much more stringent in their process of who they're lending to these days which was a bit different in 2008. While interest rates are low, guidelines to be approved for a mortgages are still strict.

Lastly, homeowners are using their equity in a much more responsible way.

Based off of those three items we do not foresee any sort of housing market crash like there was in 2008 not even anytime soon not down the road unless there is some sort of outlier that happens.
